I work with research, policy, tech, and social change organisations across Europe and beyond. My focus is making complex, specialist, or technical work accessible to the people who need to understand it.
I started my career in tech startups and agencies, where I learned how to structure information, understand people, and work on overlapping fast-paced projects with fast-moving milestones. I gained a healthy respect for differing expectations, and learned how to handle sticky situations. I became obsessed with understanding a product, challenge, industry so well that I could wax lyrical about it in all forms.
That led me to in-house communications strategy roles and eventually independent consulting, where I’ve spent the last 8 years working directly with technology companies, EU institutions, social sector organisations, and non-profits. This work tended to feature a common thread, taking something complex and making it meaningful.
I do the research to understand the impact and communicate the insights that contribute to outcomes.
What I believe
Stories move people more than data. Evidence matters, but narrative is what makes it stick. I always look for the human story inside the complex work.
Most organisations don't need more content, they need better strategy. Before creating anything new, I want to understand what you already have and how it can work harder.
Communication should serve the mission. I’m not interested in comms for its own sake. I want to help you reach the people who need to hear your work.
Clarity isn't dumbing down. Making complex work accessible doesn't mean stripping out the nuance. It means finding the right story and making it human.
What I bring
Skills honed for over a decade. Creativity and passion and drive. Experience to know what needles to move, what buttons to press, what route to take. Personality, humility and dedication. Trust and accountability and absolute interest in the outcome. The wisdom of those that came before me and a commitment to passing it on. The desire to work with other humans at my side, with the communities living the reality, with the experts who know better, and with evidence to shape the shots of those calling them.
